----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jimmy Carr's new tour Joke Technican on sale from last Friday Jimmy Carr is the hardest working comic around. He has for the 5th year in a row written an all new stand up show to start touring from August this year. He has played live to over 500,000 fans in the past 3 years. The first 50 dates of Joke Technician went on sale last Friday and over 11,000 tickets were sold in the first few hours. Another 100+ dates will go on sale for 2009 in September this year. The repeat will be shown Sunday 11th May at 11.05pm. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frankie Boyle Live shifts thousands of tickets on day one. Frankie's first national tour has spanned the past 6 months and has been a phenomenal success; selling out in every town and city across England and Scotland. It has been extended by another 50 dates from October, which went on sale Friday 11th April. Within a few hours Frankie had sold over 10,000 tickets. He has now sold in excess of 25,000 tickets and shows are selling out. For guest list tickets please contact hannah@chambersmgt.com Frankie will be appearing on Have I Got News for you on Friday 16th May. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Andrew Lawrence stars in new series of Ideal Andrew currently stars in the new series of BBC3's Ideal which started last Monday and is repeated every Wednesday at 9.30pm and Fridays at 12.45am. Andrew is in episodes 3, 4, 7 and 8. Andrew can also be heard as the voice of David Miliband in the hotly anticipated ITV1 series Headcases which is currently being aired on Sundays on ITV1 at 10pm http://www.itv.com/Entertainment/comedy/Headcases/default.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jack Whitehall gets E4 Funny Cuts commission Jack Whitehall is emerging as a big talent and is still only 19 years old. From winning new act competitions only last year he has gone on to prove his brilliance as a stand up and is showing all the right signs of becoming a recognisable TV and radio name. His pilot with Brown Eyed Boy has been commissioned for a Funny Cuts on E4 to air later this year. He has also been supporting James Corden and Mat Horne on their live tour of their new sketch show. It went on sale two weeks ago and sold out every ticket in an incredible 10 minutes. Their new album, which debuted at number three in the American music charts, is on digital release worldwide now and paper release from next Monday, 12th May. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edinburgh Festival 2008 shows announced Edinburgh is already gearing up 3 months in advance of the start of the Festival. Tickets are not on sale yet but we can confirm that we have the following acts in Edinburgh this year: Jimmy Carr: 13-17 & 21-24 Aug Edinburgh International Conference Centre Last year's If.Comedy nominee Andrew Lawrence returns to the Pleasance First time solo shows from Josh Howie and Sarah Millican, both at the Pleasance. David O'Doherty returns to Edinburgh and plays at the Stand.
