----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sarah Millican lands her own Radio 4 series, wins Breakthrough Act at 2009 Chortle Comedy Awards and will appear on BBC1's new stand up show next month 2008 If.Comedy winner Sarah has just had her own studio radio series commissioned by Radio 4, further to the pilot that she recorded at the end of last year. The series will be 6 * 30 minutes and will be recorded this Autumn, due to air towards the end of the year. Watch this space for more information on the show. Sarah, who was named the Breakthrough Act at the Chortle Comedy Awards last week, has also been confirmed to appear on the new BBC 1 series Michael Mcintyre's Comedy Roadshow. Each episode will be hosted from a different city and Sarah will be recording at the Manchester Apollo on March 16th with the show is due to go out next month on BBC1 primetime. In typical Demetri style, the show is a mixture of deadpan stand up, songs, sketches, flip charts and illustrations as he explores an 'Important Thing' each week.
