As
a recognised face on BBC2’s Mock the Week, which Frankie
has now left to pursue other projects, Frankie Boyle is an
established name in the world of comedy with a devoted following.
Frankie’s
first DVD, Frankie Boyle Live is officially the second
fastest ever selling debut stand up release, selling just
under 16,000 copies on its first day alone.
To date, over 380,000 copies have been sold. The main show was
recorded at the Hackney Empire as part of his completely sold out
first national tour which was extended due to phenomenal public
demand and extras include a behind-the-scenes film of Frankie’s
mini tour of Scotland.
Frankie’s
first national tour in 2008,
Frankie Boyle Live, was extended due to demand with all 150
tour dates selling out, including four performances at the
Hammersmith Apollo. In
March 2010, Frankie will hit the road again for a second national
tour, entitled I Would
Happily Punch Every One of You in the Face, which has already
been extended due to overwhelming public demand – 52,000 tickets
were sold on the first day the tour went on sale.
Frankie’s
autobiography, My Shit Life
So Far, was released in October 2009 and shot into the Times
Bestseller List. He is
developing his own television series for C4 and other recent
