Edinburgh Festival kicks off!

 

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is officially underway so catch double nominee Andrew Lawrence (9.45pm) and debut solo shows from Sarah Millican (7.15pm) and Josh Howie (9.45pm), all at the Pleasance courtyard. Perrier nominee Irish comedian David O'Doherty performs his new show at the Stand, 9.45pm.

Jimmy Carr gets Comedy Central Special

 

Jimmy's off to New York at the end of this month to record his second half hour Special for Comedy Central on 28th August.  For anyone who wants tickets to the Specials, recorded at New York's Hudson Theatre on W 44th St) go to www.ocatv.com and onto the CCP page and sign up on a wait list (this way OCATV will notify everyone when we have tickets available).

 

Jimmy is also making a guest appearance on NBC's Conan O'Brien show on 27th August - his sixth time on the popular US chat show.

Ninia Benjamin and Jason Wood star in Living TV’s The Underdog Show

Both Ninia and Jason have been paired up with rescued Dogs Trust canine companions to compete in the second series of the hit programme The Underdog Show, the first series of which was shown on BBC2 last year.

They will take part in a six-week crash course, working hard to train their dogs in preparation for a series of obedience and agility tests to impress a panel of judges and avoid being eliminated.  The show is due to hit our screens mid-September.

Jack Whitehall to host another week of Big Brother's Big Mouth and stars in Funny Cut on E4

Having triumphed as the host of the live launch show, Jack will return to Big Brother's Big Mouth as the resident host from 26th-29th August.

Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle on C4’s The Charlotte Church Show

Both Jimmy and Frankie are lined up to appear as guests on the new series of The Charlotte Church Show, a mix of comedy, chat and music, currently showing on Channel 4.

Jimmy's episode will be broadcast Thursday 7th August at 10pm.

New Series of Mock The Week gets top ratings on BBC2

Frankie Boyle brings his dark and brilliant humour to the new series of BBC2's hit topical news quiz Mock The Week.  

The sixth series is currently showing Thursdays at 9pm on BBC2 and has consistently drawn top ratings, averaging around 3 million viewers each week.

Extra dates added to Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle Autumn Tours

Having completed a sell-out tour of the UK (and a mini tour of Scotland), the Frankie Boyle Live tour has been extended with a raft of dates added for the Autumn due to phenomenal public demand.

As Jimmy Carr wraps up his epic Repeat Offender tour, he will take the brand new show, Joke Technician on tour following on from the Fringe run to tour the UK and Ireland again.  At present there are 120 confirmed dates with new shows being added all the time.
